Our School Day

Every school day at Grafton is carefully planned to provide children with the right balance of learning, creativity, play, friendship and reflection.

From the moment children arrive each morning, they are welcomed into a calm and purposeful environment where they can settle quickly and feel ready for the day ahead. Throughout the day, lessons are interwoven with opportunities to play, be active, perform, create and spend time with friends, ensuring that children leave school each afternoon having experienced a rich and rewarding day.

Helping Your Child Have a Great Start

A calm start to the day helps children arrive ready to learn.

A few simple routines at home can make a big difference:

• Aim to arrive at school a few minutes before the start of the day.
• Encourage your child to have a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.
• Prepare school bags, reading books and any equipment the night before.
• Talk positively about the day ahead and encourage your child to approach new experiences with confidence.
